Freedom is useless if we don’t exercise it as characters making choices… Few things are as encouraging as the realization that things can be different and that we have a role in making them so. -Daniel Taylor

Why?
Is it so hard to change the mindset that I am no longer the 360 pound guy that I once was? I know that I am not, but I have moments where I still feel that I am. It’s in those moments you have to remember how far you’ve come and what the battle was like getting there. Journeys are rough, not easy. The hardest battle is the one over the mind. I look forward to the day where I can say...

Atlanta & Company Interview It went better than I thought. Very nervous, as you can see from my toe tapping. Glad that my wife was able to go with me, very neat experience overall. On a funny note the next guest was a health food expert and as our segment was ending he was walking over with a 2-liter of coke to mess with me about being soda-free.

Next week...
is going to be busy!  Tuesday my stepson Chris turns 12, I took the day off from work to spend the day with the family.  We have a fulfilled day planned, I can’t believe he is going to be 12.  He was about to turn 2 when Elizabeth and I started dating.   On Thursday I have my first TV interview, extremely nervous but very excited to have that type of platform to share my story.   Friday at...

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 months from today
I will turn 30. When I turned 27 three years ago I was pushing 345-350 and was on a path of destruction. Today I did 20 miles, and in little over 4 weeks I take on my first marathon. Not in my wildest imagination I would have ever thought I would be where I am today. This journey has been remarkable, the greatest thing is its just getting started.
