Today my stepson Chris turns 12. It’s hard to believe when Elizabeth and I started dating he was about to turn 2. It’s been amazing seeing him grow up. He may not be my biological son, but in my heart he is. Elizabeth and I have tried to have children, we lost 2 pregnancies. I happy and content that Chris will be my only child. It has been truly a blessing having him apart of my life. So Happy Birthday Buddy! Cannot wait to see the man you are going to be.

About Ben Dempsey

Welcome to my blog! I live in a metro Atlanta. I'm married to my beautiful bride Elizabeth and have one son Chris. 2009 was the year of change for me both spiritually and physically. In January, I accepted Christ and dedicated my life to Jesus. On July 22nd 2009 I began my journey to defy obesity and redefine who I was at 360 pounds. Along my journey I have completed things I'd never think I would be able to: 10K, Half Marathon and most recently my first MARATHON. So far I have lost 165 pounds, 15 from goal. Currently training for my first triathlon at Lake Lanier on June 9th. Looking forward to running with my wife for her first half marathon (Silver Comet) on October 27th.
